"Pregare non si limita a pronunciare delle parole. Come mai, spesso, quando pregano, le persone congiungono spontaneamente le due mani? Con questo gesto, esse ritrovano istintivamente il senso profondo della preghiera: una mano rappresenta l’intelletto e l’altra il cuore. Affinché una preghiera sia potente, è necessario che venga dall’intelletto e dal cuore, dal pensiero e dal sentimento, ossia dai due principi, maschile e femminile.

Questo non significa che per pregare si debbano obbligatoriamente congiungere le mani fisicamente. Si può pregare sia unendo le mani sia non unendole… e si può anche pregare con le mani aperte all’altezza del viso e con i palmi in avanti; in tal caso, le braccia con la testa formano la lettera ebraica Shin ש.
Si può pregare in qualunque posizione: ciò che conta non è l’atteggiamento fisico, bensì l’atteggiamento interiore, la partecipazione del pensiero e del sentimento. Nella preghiera, l’essenziale non sono nemmeno le parole. Certo, le parole sono importanti, ma a condizione che, anche sul piano psichico, esse siano vivificate dal pensiero e dal sentimento. "

"Prayer is not limited to saying words. Why is it that very often when people pray they spontaneously join their hands together? When they use this gesture, they instinctively find the deep meaning of prayer: one hand represents the mind and the other the heart. For a prayer to be powerful, it has to come from the mind and from the heart, from thought and feeling, that is, from the two principles – the masculine and the feminine.
That doesn’t mean that you have to bring your hands together physically when you pray. You can pray with or without joining your hands… and some people also pray with their hands open at face level, palms facing forward; like that, the arms and the head together form the Hebrew letter shin ש. You can pray in any posture; what counts is not the physical attitude but the inner attitude, the participation of thought and feeling. Nor are the words the most important thing when you pray. They are important, of course, but only if they are also brought to life by thoughts and feelings on the psychic plane."

"Prier ne se limite pas à prononcer des paroles. D’où vient que très souvent, lorsqu’elles prient, les personnes joignent spontanément leurs deux mains ? Par ce geste, elles retrouvent instinctivement le sens profond de la prière : une main représente l’intellect et l’autre le cœur. Pour qu’une prière soit puissante, il faut qu’elle vienne de l’intellect et du cœur, de la pensée et du sentiment, c’est-à-dire des deux principes masculin et féminin.
Cela ne signifie pas que, pour prier, il faut obligatoirement joindre les mains physiquement. On peut prier en joignant ou non les mains… et on peut aussi prier, mains ouvertes à hauteur du visage, paumes en avant ; là, les bras forment avec la tête la lettre hébraïque Shin ש. On peut prier dans n’importe quelle posture, ce n’est pas l’attitude physique qui compte, mais l’attitude intérieure, la participation de la pensée et du sentiment. Dans la prière, l’essentiel n’est pas non plus les mots. Ils sont bien sûr importants, mais à condition que dans le plan psychique aussi, ils soient vivifiés par la pensée et le sentiment."

"Beten beschränkt sich nicht darauf, Worte zu sprechen. Woher kommt es, dass Personen, die beten, oft spontan die beiden Hände falten? Durch diese Geste finden sie instinktiv den tiefen Sinn des Gebetes: Eine Hand repräsentiert den Intellekt und die andere das Herz. Damit ein Gebet machtvoll ist, muss es vom Intellekt und vom Herzen kommen, von den Gedanken und den Gefühlen, das heißt von den zwei Prinzipien Männlich und Weiblich.
Das heißt aber nicht, dass man, um zu beten, unbedingt die physischen Hände falten muss. Man kann beten, indem man die Hände faltet oder auch nicht… man kann auch beten mit den offenen Händen auf der Höhe des Gesichts, die Handflächen nach vorne; so formen die Arme mit dem Kopf den hebräischen Buchstaben Shin ש. Man kann in irgendeiner Haltung beten, es ist nicht das physische Verhalten, das zählt, sondern das innere Verhalten, die Teilnahme der Gedanken und Gefühle. Im Gebet sind auch nicht die Worte wesentlich. Natürlich sind sie wichtig, aber unter der Voraussetzung, dass sie auch auf der psychischen Ebene belebt werden durch die Gedanken und Gefühle."

"Orar no se limita a pronunciar palabras. ¿De dónde viene que con mucha frecuencia, las personas cuando rezan unen espontáneamente sus dos manos? Mediante ese gesto, reencuentran instintivamente el sentido profundo de la oración: una mano representa el intelecto y la otra el corazón. Para que una oración sea poderosa, es preciso que venga del intelecto y del corazón, del pensamiento y del sentimiento, es decir, de los dos principios masculino y femenino.
Esto no significa que, para rezar, se necesite obligatoriamente unir las dos manos físicamente. Podemos rezar uniendo o no las manos… y también podemos rezar con las manos abiertas a la altura de la cara, con las palmas delante; ahí, los brazos forman con la cabeza la letra hebraica Shin ש. Podemos rezar en cualquier postura, no es la actitud física la que cuenta, sino la actitud interior, la participación del pensamiento y del sentimiento. En la oración, lo esencial tampoco son las palabras. Por supuesto son importantes, pero con la condición de que en el plano psíquico también sean vivificadas por el pensamiento y el sentimiento."
