"Quante persone si credono molto intelligenti e molto informate! A sentir loro, hanno visto tutto, conosciuto tutto e capito tutto, e gettano uno sguardo superficiale su ciò che le circonda. Per questa ragione non imparano quasi più niente: sono annoiate. Si sforzino invece di vedere ogni cosa come se fosse la prima volta, e non solo scopriranno realmente qualcosa di nuovo, ma assaporeranno nuove gioie. 

Voi respirate, mangiate, bevete… Provate a farlo come se fosse sempre la prima volta, e tutto vi sembrerà delizioso; e agite allo stesso modo con gli esseri che vi circondano: vostro marito, vostra moglie, i vostri figli, i vostri amici...
Mi direte che occorre possedere un grande potere di autosuggestione per trovare nuovo, o nuova,un marito o una moglie di cui ci si è stancati da molto tempo. Certo, ma se perseverate, se ci provate veramente, la capacità di suggestione vi farà scoprire un'altra realtà."

"So many people think they are highly intelligent and well informed! When you hear them talk, they have already seen everything, experienced everything, they know everything and they look upon everything around them superficially. This is why they learn almost nothing new and they become blasé. But if they were to try to see everything as if they were seeing it for the first time, not only would they truly learn something new, they would also experience new joys.
When you breathe, you eat and you drink, do so as if for the first time, and everything will appear succulent to you. Act in the same way with the people around you: your husband, your wife, your children, and your friends. You might say that it will require a large amount of auto-suggestion to rediscover someone in whom you have already lost interest. That is true, but if you persevere, if you really search, this ability for suggestion will enable you to discover another reality."

"Combien de gens se croient très intelligents, très renseignés ! À les entendre, ils ont tout vu, tout connu, tout compris, et ils jettent sur ce qui les entoure un regard superficiel. C’est pourquoi ils n’apprennent presque plus rien, ils sont blasés. Mais qu’ils s’efforcent de tout voir comme si c’était la première fois, et non seulement ils découvriront réellement quelque chose de nouveau, mais ils goûteront de nouvelles joies. 
Vous respirez, vous mangez, vous buvez… Faites comme si c’était la première fois et tout vous paraîtra succulent. Et agissez de même avec les êtres qui vous entourent : votre mari, votre femme, vos enfants, vos amis… Vous me direz qu’il faut posséder un grand pouvoir d’autosuggestion pour trouver nouveau, nouvelle, un mari ou une femme dont on s’est depuis longtemps lassé. Certainement, mais si vous persévérez, si vous cherchez vraiment, cette capacité de suggestion vous fera découvrir une autre réalité."

Ihr wendet ein, es brauche eine große Fähigkeit der Autosuggestion, um einen Mann, eine Frau, derer man schon lange überdrüssig ist, neu zu finden. Gewiss, aber wenn ihr beharrlich bleibt, wenn ihr wirklich sucht, so wird euch diese Fähigkeit der Autosuggestion erlauben, eine andere Wirklichkeit zu entdecken."
