"Dovendo subire le limitazioni della materia, il nostro spirito non può ancora manifestarsi in pienezza. In alto, nella sfera che gli è propria, lo spirito ha poteri illimitati, è onnipotente; è la materia in noi e intorno a noi a imporgli dei limiti. Tuttavia, grazie alla continuità dei nostri sforzi quotidiani, a poco a poco lo spirito si apre un varco, e alla fine riesce a trionfare sugli ostacoli e a trasformare tutto.

Si dice che lo spirito possieda poteri “soprannaturali”. No, in realtà non c'è nulla di soprannaturale. I cosiddetti “miracoli” o “prodigi”, tutti quegli avvenimenti che in apparenza contraddicono le leggi della natura, non sono soprannaturali e neppure innaturali, ma obbediscono semplicemente ad altre leggi, anch'esse del tutto naturali: le leggi dello spirito.
Fate degli sforzi per purificare la materia del vostro corpo fisico e dei vostri corpi psichici, e sentirete realizzarsi anche in voi i “miracoli” dello spirito."

"Because our spirit is subjected to the limitations of matter, it is unable to manifest fully. Up above, in its own sphere, spirit has unlimited powers, it is omnipotent. It is the matter down here, in us and around us, that imposes limitations on it. But thanks to the constancy of our daily efforts, spirit cuts a path through, little by little, and in the end succeeds in overcoming the obstacles and in transforming everything.
Spirit is said to have ‘supernatural’ powers. No, in fact there is nothing supernatural about spirit. What we call miracles or wonders – all these events appearing to go against the laws of nature – are neither supernatural, nor supranatural, nor anti-natural. They simply obey other laws, which are just as natural and which are those of spirit. Make an effort to purify the matter of your physical and psychic bodies, and you will also feel ‘miracles’ of spirit taking place within you."

"Parce qu’il doit subir les limitations de la matière, notre esprit ne peut pas encore se manifester en plénitude. Dans la sphère qui est la sienne, en haut, il a des pouvoirs illimités, il est tout-puissant ; c’est la matière ici, en nous et autour de nous, qui lui impose des limites. Mais grâce à la continuité de nos efforts quotidiens, l’esprit se fraie peu à peu le chemin, et à la fin, il parvient à triompher des obstacles et à tout transformer.
On dit que l’esprit possède des pouvoirs « surnaturels ». Non, en réalité il n’y a rien de surnaturel. Ce que l’on appelle miracles ou prodiges, tous ces événements qui en apparence contredisent les lois de la nature, ne sont ni surnaturels, ni supranaturels, ni anti-naturels : ils obéissent seulement à d’autres lois, tout aussi naturelles, les lois de l’esprit. Faites des efforts pour purifier la matière de votre corps physique et de vos corps psychiques, et vous sentirez se réaliser aussi en vous les « miracles » de l’esprit."

"Unser Geist kann sich noch nicht in der Fülle offenbaren, da er die Beschränkungen der Materie erdulden muss. Oben, in der Sphäre, die ihm gehört, hat er grenzenlose Kräfte, er ist allmächtig. Es ist die Materie hier – in uns und um uns herum –, die ihm Grenzen aufzwingt. Aber durch unsere ständigen täglichen Anstrengungen bahnt sich der Geist nach und nach den Weg, und schließlich gelingt es ihm, die Hindernisse zu überwinden und alles umzuwandeln.
Man sagt, der Geist besitze »übernatürliche« Kräfte. Nein, in Wirklichkeit gibt es nichts Übernatürliches. Was man Zeichen oder Wunder nennt, all diese Ereignisse, die allem Anschein nach den Gesetzen der Natur widersprechen, sind weder übernatürlich noch unnatürlich: Sie gehorchen lediglich anderen Gesetzen, die ebenso natürlich sind, den Gesetzen des Geistes. Strengt euch an, die Materie eures physischen Körpers und aller eurer psychischen Körper zu reinigen, und ihr werdet spüren, wie sich auch in euch die »Wunder« des Geistes verwirklichen werden."
